Tullamore Show, Co. Offaly 9th August 2015

Reiki Federation booked space at the Tullamore Show, Co. Offaly to offer Reiki, talk with the public and hand out RFI leaflets, and, our first experience at the Tullamore Show was a huge success. The stand was based in a large marquee surrounded by about 30 other companies, open plan, no privacy! A great number were attracted to the RFI stand.

A huge huge thank you to Professional RFI members who volunteered their time and offered Reiki between 9 am to 6 pm. The Volunteers reported that they enjoyed the experience, it was rewarding and fun and very pleased with the comments and feedback from the clients. The clients were pleasantly surprised at the changes/improvements experienced in a 15 minute session. It was also an opportunity for the RFI members/practitioners to get to know each other and to network.

The early morning traffic was slow to start with but we chatted to the other stand holders, greeted the curious and explained what Reiki is. By late morning to midday demand for Reiki sessions grew and by early afternoon we were running out of space on the stand as seven RFI professional members all together gave 15 minute sessions for 10 euro and a queue was forming. It was a beehive of activity. It was most positive to see so many people wanting to experience Reiki for their first time, also, it was lovely to see children sitting around andwatching as their mothers were having Reiki, and another attraction was when a tiny dog was receiving Reiki with its owner.. When a young father sat down to have Reiki his baby in the pram started to cry so I took the pram outside and got her to sleep!... We were still giving Reiki after 6 pm and RFI was the last stand to pack up!

There were about 600+ stands and approx 60,000 visitors to the show, we were blessed with dry weather and good travelling conditions.

On behalf of RFI I thanked the Tullamore Show committee and they look forward to seeing RFI at Tullamore Show again next year? Volunteers? Some of the public asked if we would be at the National Ploughing Championships at Stradbally, Co Laois, September 22nd to 24th, (Europe's largest outdoor event) we said we had not booked but we could book for 2016 in the Health and Wellness section for 3 days ...

RFI Volunteers please contact us for 2016? (the venue will be nearer to Tullamore and not in Stradbally).
